About Westlake
Worksource Center
PACE
operates the Westlake Worksource Center located in the Westlake area of City
of Los Angeles. The City of Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board (WIB) sponsors
this network, with its funding coming from the US Department of Labor under
the Workforce Investment Act of 1998.
The Westlake Worksource
Center offers integrated and comprehensive services for both job seekers and
employers. Acting as the lead of this network, PACE works with other entities
and some of them are co-located at the One Stop. These entities include West
Los Angeles City College, California State Employment Development Department
(EDD), East San Gabriel Valley Regional Occupational Program, Los Angeles City
Department of Aging, California State Department Rehabilitation and other community
based agencies such as AADAP and Asian Rehabilitation Services.
All activities
at this center are customer-focused and performance based. Its ultimate objective
is job placement.
