II. Defining the Business Plan. Depends on purpose, but the important thing to emphasize to students is that having a business plan is essential.

IV. Goals and Objectives. Business plans are guides and tools for business owners to help them set goals and objectives.

V. "Selling" the Plan - Convincing participants on the need for a plan.

VI. Presenting the Plan - Start with "the big picture".
